Akeelah and the Bee

Akeelah and the Bee is a movie that I would like to see.  Just because people aren't running to see it, doesn't mean that it isn't a great movie.  For instance:  How many people saw Kong?  How many people thought it sucked?  Answer:  A lot on both accounts.

Tarzan the Musical

I still wonder why anyone goes to see any Disney musical in the first place.  You've seen the movie so what's the point.  We saw Tarzan at Disney World many moons ago.  It was okay.  Pretty good acrobatics.  But best of all - it was FREE and gave our feet a break.

Poseidon

I have no desire to see this Titanic-like movie.  I know it's a re-make but did it really need to be re-made?  It's a ship - getting hit by a wave - gee what could the ending be?

Gilliam to direct the sixth Harry Potter?

What is it with Harry Potter movies and directors?  Are they that hard to make?  I know that a lot of people like the style of the 3rd and 4th movies over the first two but I had a hard time transitioning to the new look.  I think the success of #4 has a lot to do with the fact that it is (in my opinion) the best book of the series.  It has the most action - a lot to work with.  Still unclear as to why Dobby got ditched.

Urbania

I have not heard of this movie (Urbania) but after reading the review, I would like to.  I have only seen Danny Futterman on Judging Amy as yet but he seems to be a good actor - most are on that show.  Thanks for the review.

Summer Movies '06

I'm not sure which movie will do the best.  I hear a lot of people dying to see Superman so I think my vote is with that.  I have no idea what all the hubub is about for MI III.  The second one was terrible and let us not forget that Tom Cruise is in it.  Is anyone else tired of him?  Personally, I'm looking forward to X-Men III.  LOVE the X-Men movies.  The Hedge also looks promising for the kiddies - I know I'll be dragged to see that one.

Bambi II

I didn't get to watch the whole movie but what I saw I really liked.  There were plenty of great Thumper (my favorite) scenes.  Cute and funny.  A+

Tifanni-Amber Thiessen

I'm sorry, Tifanni-Amber Thiessen is a sucky actress (as are her fellow past cast members) and looks pretty dumb holding that gun.  I mean really, would you be scared?

Yes,  I would agree that that was a weird comment for Keira's dad to make or for any dad to say about his daughter.
